[Video] Michael Jordan Set to Auction Stunning $29m luxury Mansion

NBA icon Michael Jordan is letting go of his luxury Illinois home, with the exquisite seven-acre estate reportedly set to be auctioned later this month.

50-year-old Jordan, who won two gold medals and six NBA titles during a glorious career in professional basketball, has lived in the 56,000 square-foot mansion initially valued at a whopping $29 million for 19 years but has now put it on the market.

Highland Park III - which lies just north of Chicago - features nine bedrooms and 15 bathrooms as well as boasting an indoor basketball court, an immaculate putting green and an outdoor kitchen.

You might be forgiven for thinking that Jordan must be positively crazy to sell such a glorious state-of-the-art facility that has clearly taken a great deal of work to complete over the years.

However, given that the former 14-time All-Star is now mostly occupied with his majority ownership of the Charlotte Bobcats over in North Carolina, it appears as if he is prepared to part with it.

“You really can’t do better than this,” listing agent Katherine Malkin was quoted by the Daily News.
