A host of Europe's biggest clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are on alert as it has become apparent that Robert Lewandowski will leave Dortmund in January.
The Polish striker's contract is up at the end of the season and Dortmund are hoping to sell him on in January in order to compensate themselves in some way for his loss.
The 25-year-old has reportedly told the German giants that he does not want to stay at the club and renew his current contract, but it remains to be seen whether or not suitors will stump up the required £7million for him in January or wait to fight it out for his signature in the summer.
Barcelona are the latest club to have signalled their intent, but are said to be unwilling to pay any money for him.
Chelsea and United are hot on his tails, and either could splash out in January, as well as Real Madrid and Bayern both seeking his services. The European champions however have cooled their interest of late given the form of current frontman Mario Mandzukic.
