Arsenal Striker Nicklas Bendtner Arrested for Criminal Damage

Arsenal were given a further reminder of their need for a new striker after Nicklas Bendtner was arrested on Monday. Police detained the Gunners striker after the doors were kicked in and a window was smashed at a luxury apartment block in Bushey, Herts.

The police reportedly met with Bendtner after training yesterday and detained him for questioning before issuing a caution.

Neighbours of Bendtner's report hearing the sound of doors being kicked in and a window being smashed at around 1am.

A CCTV camera also recorded footage of a man entering through the smashed window before trying to kick down the locked door to the gym.

Residents were continuing to be quizzed by police as operations to repair the damage got underway.

One resident told the Mirror: “I could hear people smashing the doors. I shouted for them to stop but a man yelled abuse at me.

“You could hear the door being smashed time and time again.”

A Hertfordshire police spokesperson said: “A 25-year-old man from Bushey has been cautioned for criminal damage.

“He was released and is no longer in custody."

This is not the first time Bendtner has been in trouble with the law. in March 2013 he was fined €113,000 and banned from driving for three years following a drink driving offence in Denmark.
