Adnan Januzaj has been crowned United’s Player of the Month for October by fans on ManUtd.com, Twitter and the club's six foreign language websites.
The 18-year-old midfielder gained 42 per cent of the votes to beat off competition from September’s winner Wayne Rooney (34%) and David De Gea (24%). The award caps a memorable month in which Adnan scored twice at Sunderland, signed a new contract and made his European debut at home to Real Sociedad.
“It's good to be recognised for your performances on the pitch but I realise that I have to work hard and keep progressing as a player. I will try to contribute to the team whenever I play and hopefully play my part in a successful season.”
As part of winning the Player of the Month award, the club will donate a fee of £500 to a charity of Adnan's choice
