Tragic: Michael Norgrove, 31, was 'winning fight' before he collapsed in Ring.... Died from Swollen Brain

The first pro boxer to die in a UK ring for 18 years was heading for victory, an inquest heard yesterday.
Michael Norgrove, 31, had floored his opponent Tom Bowen before he collapsed in the light-middleweight bout in March.

Matt Henley, a doctor at the London fight, said: “It looked like he was winning.” He said there were no big punches in the fatal round. But a pathologist told the Poplar hearing that Norgrove died from brain swelling caused by blows to the head.
