Former Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas, however, has found a novel way of overcoming such problems, and has put his wealth to good use by converting money into toilet paper.
Arenas, currently of China-based franchise the Shanghai Sharks, posted a picture onInstagram displaying his inventiveness, and would appear unlikely to run out of backside wipes given his sizeable salary.
Along with the image, Arenas posted the following message: "Money don't change ppl..the lack of money does..never seen a rich person rob a bank..while u hate on my life I'm wiping my ass with this s**t here haha."
Arena's message was a jibe at the haters who have criticised him for raking in the cash despite no longer playing in the NBA, with the 31-year-old reported to still be tied to a lucrative deal with the Wizards.
He signed a six-year contract worth $111 million back in 2008, before being traded to Orlando and amnestied by the Magic in 2011, and still reportedly took home $20 million last season despite not playing a single NBA game.
